Samadhi Demo#1 Samadhi's very first demo tape was released in 1997, while the band still had their first bassist - lets just call him "Bob". Samadhi's brash, uncultured, low-budget style was a fresh breath for the stagnating music of the post-Nirvana era. With the strong backing of friends and family members, Samadhi began to work on original songs.
Samadhi Demo#2 Samadhi's second demo tape was released in October of 1998, with the four original songs: Introductions, Window, Counterfeit Rebellion and Rejected. With the overflowing energy of new bassist Pete Espinosa, the band began its southern California tour, which included shows at the Cinco de Mayo Festival in Anaheim, Cal State L.A. Summer Jam, and some mexican girl's quincinera party.
Samadhi CD cover Samadhi's self-titled CD was released under the independent label "Dagger" Productions in late-1998. It had 8 tracks including the #1 hits "Window" and "Introductions". Other highlights included a punk rendition of the Titanic theme song and a previously unreleased cover of the overplayed indian film song, "Choli Kay Peechay".
