SAMADHI is a hard rock/alternative/punk/metal Los Angeles-based band.
It was started in mid 1996 by the two founding members,
Sagar Vaidya and Ruben Yrigoyen.
After several additions and flake-outs, the musical base finally
solidified in early 1997, when bassist
Pete Fruitcake joined the band. After
a number of Southern California gigs and mixed reviews, Samadhi released its
first self-titled CD.
Produced by the infamous Richie "Dagger" Martinez, Samadhi's first album
rocketed to #1 on the Billboard Chart, displacing Backstreet Boys from their
11-week hold. However, an unfortunate turn of events took place.
With an upcoming world tour planned, Samadhi mysteriously disappeared
from the limelight. Rumors are that the member went on a beer run and got
lost. This website was created in Samadhi's memory with the hopes that one day,
they will return.
